How to get your Google review link
Type your business name and town, pick your listing from the list, and the tool gives you the link that opens Google's review form for it. Copy it, test it once, and send it or print it.
If you manage the Business Profile, Google also gives you the link there: open your profile, go to Read reviews, then Get more reviews. Google makes the review QR code there only in a computer browser, not on a phone. Both links open the same review form, so use whichever you have.
- Search for your business by name and town.
- Pick it from the list. The tool asks Google for your listing's ID and builds the link.
- Press Test it: the review form for your business should open.
- Copy the link, download the QR code, or print the card.
What the link and the QR code do
The link skips the search: it opens the star rating and the text box for your business straight away, on a phone or a computer. The QR code holds the same link, so a customer who scans the card at your counter lands on the same form.
The code itself does not expire: it holds a fixed link to your listing. Google can change a listing's ID, for example when a business moves, and then the old link stops working. Scan your card now and then, and make a new one if it no longer opens your review form. Customers need a Google account to post a review.
Where to use your review link
Anywhere a customer already hears from you: the text you send after a job, the email with the receipt, the card at the counter, your website's contact page. Ask every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy. Google's content policy forbids asking only happy customers for reviews and offering anything for one, such as money, a discount or a free service. Our guide to getting more reviews has ready-to-send messages that stay inside those rules.
Questions people ask
Is this the same link Google gives me?
It opens the same review form. The link inside Business Profile is a short g.page address; this tool builds the full form address from your listing's ID. Either one works.
Why can't the tool find my business?
New listings, a name that differs from the one on Google, or a service-area business with a hidden address can be hard to find. Switch to I have a link and paste the link from Get more reviews in your Business Profile.
Does the QR code ever stop working?
The code itself does not expire. It holds your listing's ID, and Google can change that ID, for example when a business moves or closes. Scan your card now and then; if it no longer opens your review form, make a new one here.
Do I need to sign up or log in to Google?
No. The tool only reads your public listing. You do not log in to Google through us, and you do not need a ReviewHand account.
